What We Believe

A Confessing Congregation within the Uniting Church in Australia

As our logo suggests, we focus on -

  • Grace released through Jesus' death on the Cross to bring healing to our lives, bodies, hearts, minds, and relationships.
  • Growing as His followers, bringing glory to Him by the strengthening and exercising of our faith.
  • Bringing our pain, weaknesses, sickness or sin to the foot of the Cross, where we encounter the Holy Spirit, His power, gifts and fruit. The Holy Spirit is signified by the dove and as flames of fire, burning the dross from our lives.
  • Receiving God, our Father's perfect love, (represented by 'O') which the Holy Spirit releases into our hearts and lives.
  • Worshipping God, because of His great love for us, and the many good gifts He gives to us! We earnestly desire that spiritual gifts will flow through us for the healing of the sick and broken.
  • Resting in the Lord. Society and life are so busy. We need to learn to be still, and simply know God! The first syllable in Restore is rest. We delight to rest and be restored in Him.
  • Restore is a verb. It speaks of the work Jesus does in us as we come to Him. His love, work, grace transforms us, to make us more like Him.

Many are your tender mercies, O Lord. Revive us according to your word!   Psalm 119:156
